Creating Your First Google AdWords Campaign

Filed under: Public Relations — admin @ 7:01 pm

The very first thing to do before venturing into the Adwords arena is to brainstorm and come up with a list of as many keywords for your product as possible. This is definitely the most important step in the process. The larger your list of keywords, the better. One word keywords are acceptable but don’t rely on them exclusively. Be creative. If you sell custom dog houses, don’t use a single keyword like dog (doghouse might be OK) Use phrases like “custom dog houses” or “quality dog houses”.

Find Relevant Words with Little Competition. You’ll probably be able to think of 10 - 20 keyword phrases right off the top of your head but these are the same keywords that your competitors will think of. The more people that are bidding on a keyword, the more expensive it will be to obtain an ad on the first page.

Your goal is to find keywords that have relevance to your product but that have little competition. Google returns different results for singular and plural search terms. Also consider common possible misspellings of your keywords (is doghouse, above, the way it is normally spelled?).

Think Like Your Customer. In building your keyword list, you want to “get into your customer’s head”. What phrases might he be searching on? These phrases don’t necessarily have to exactly match your product. If you’re selling custom dog houses, your ideal customer might be searching on “gourmet dog food” in order to find a new entrée for Rover. Now, after seeing your ad pop up, he might very well decide to investigate getting Rover a new house to go with his new dinner! Be creative! How does your customer search for things online? Figure this out and you’re on your way to making sales!

One other thing to consider is that Google offers 4 different types of searches or matching options. Because this is an important concept to understand, you might want to go to https://adwords.google.com/select/faq/account.html to see exactly how Google defines these different matching options:

Broad Match - This is the default option. If you include general keyword or keyword phrases-such as tennis shoes-in your keyword list, your ads will appear when users search for tennis and shoes, in any order, and possibly along with other terms.

Phrase Match - If you enter your keyword in quotation marks, your ad will appear when a user searches on the phrase tennis shoes.

Exact Match - If you surround your keywords in brackets-such as [tennis shoes]-your ads will appear when users search for the specific phrase tennis shoes, in this order, and without any other terms in the query.

Negative Keyword - If your keyword is tennis shoes and you add the negative keyword -red, your ad will not appear when a user searches on red tennis shoes.

Maximize the number of keyword phrases you’re bidding on. After you’re done brainstorming your keyword list, add the plural form to each and every singular keyword phrase (where it makes sense grammatically to do so).

Finally, include keywords in both quotes “dog house” and brackets [dog house] for all key phrases longer than one word. Use negative keywords where necessary. For example, if you’re selling dog house plans, it might make sense to include the negative keyword -free so that your ad won’t show up when someone searches for “free dog house plans”.

There are a number of good resources to help you in creating your keyword list including Google’s Keyword Suggestion Tool https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordSandbox

As you begin to use the Adwords ad creation form, you’ll notice one of the relatively minor annoyances to using Adwords, which is that is that you are limited to 25 characters for the headline and 35 characters for lines 2 & 3 and 35 characters for the display url. You’ll realize quickly that when you’re creating ads, you’ll be focused on writing snappy text that will reach out and grab your customers, not on counting characters.

Since Google doesn’t let you know until you’ve used up all of the available characters for that line, things can get a bit frustrating. You have no advance notice that you’ve only got 3 characters left to use (and probably need 5!) and so you simply run out of space.

This is one of the reasons that we created Ad Word Assistant, software that counts characters as you type (among other things). Visit http://www.mannmadesoftware.com/adword_assistant.asp?adcode=ezinarticles to see all of the features and benefits of Ad Word Assistant.

Importance of Headline - The first line in the Adwords ad is the headline. You want to get people to click on your ad and visit your site and therefore the wording of your ad is critical. Your ad needs to grab someone’s attention and compel them to click on it. One user gets very good results by being a bit offbeat with his ads. His headlines make his ads stand out from the pack and so he gets good clickthroughs.

For example, if he were writing an ad for a golf related product, his headline wouldn’t read “Improve Your Golf Game” but rather something like “Does Your Golf Game Suck?” Now certainly that is offbeat, and some might say vulgar, but the point is, his ads are very effective.

Subsequent Lines - Lines 2 and 3 are more advertising lines, limited to 35 characters on each. You don’t have much “real estate” to use with your ad, so use your words effectively. Line 4 is the visible url for the ad, which must be part of the actual url that you send your visitors to, but doesn’t have to be the exact page.

Target Position #2 to #6 on First Page - Cost-Per-Click or CPC is the essence of what you’re paying to run your Adwords campaign. Your goal is to have the minimum CPC that you can while still placing your ad in an optimum position in the search results. “Optimum position” is being on the first page, not in the #1 position, but somewhere between #2 and #5 or #6, depending on the economics.

First page is important, if at all possible. The #1 spot is generally not desired because quite often people will come to a search results page and click on the first two ads just out of habit. Be the second one they click on rather than the first one they leave.

You’ll want to avoid paying “big bucks” for a click during the early stages of your Adwords career. Stick to the $.05 to $.10 keywords at first and see what kind of results you’re getting. If you cannot get on the first page with a large number of your keywords, there is probably something amiss.

There are many stories of people losing money with their Adwords campaigns and most of these stories can be traced back to paying too much for keywords. Find the obscure relevant keywords that your competitors have missed. Be an Adwords success story.

Reading a good eBook about AdWords would be the next logical step. I have reviewed a very good eBook on my website:

How to choose the right ctp green slip in Australia

Filed under: Insurance Hall — admin @ 4:11 pm

If you live in NSW and drive a car then you’ll know that each year you need to renew your cars ctp insurance or green slip. Prices for acquiring your yearly green slip can vary (sometimes quite dramatically) in NSW when comparing the 7 major insurers who are able to provide it. These insurers are:

  • AAMI,
  • Allianz,
  • CIC Allianz,
  • GIO,
  • NRMA,
  • QBE,
  • Zurich

Choosing between these different options will often be a case of going with the cheapest alternative however you may also want to look carefully at what each company is offering with it’s ctp insurance. Sometimes the different insurers will trial providing more insurance than is strictly necessary in a compulsory third party insurance policy. For example, you may receive items that would normally be found in a comprehensive policy such as fire or theft protection.

Of course, if you have comprehensive insurance anyway, this may not be an issue for you however you may find that you can save money by choosing the right selection of options from across the board of insurers for your own ctp green slip insurance.

If you carefully compare each of these different insurers, depending on your current situation (driving history, type of car, drivers age etc) you may find that there is a large difference (even up to the $200-$300 range) in the price of green slips from these different insurance companies.

Do some quick research for your ctp green slip insurance as it may be able to save you some money not just this year but each year after this too. Good luck on finding the right ctp green slip insurance!

Mortgage Mailers: Am I Really Pre-Approved?

Filed under: Real Estate Tips + More — admin @ 12:47 pm

Isn’t it annoying to get all that junk mail from companies trying to get you to apply for a home mortgage? This is a typical letter from our readers:

“I keep getting pre-approved mortgage offers in the mail (several a week), and this makes me very uncomfortable. Many of them are from out of state banks or companies I have never heard of. I have been told there is a way to keep these companies from sending me these offers or inquiring about my credit, but no one has been able to tell me how I should go about this. Is there an address or phone number I can contact to take care of this?”

Getting off a Telemarketer’s List

When a telemarketer calls, document when and where they are calling from and ask them to please put you on their “do not call list” (use those exact words). According to federal law they are not allowed to call you again. If they persist and continue to call you, you can make a report to National Fraud Information Center.

Junk Mortgage mailers:

You can write to Experian Consumer Opt Out: 701 Experian Parkway, Allen TX 75013 or call (800) 353-0809 (one call or letter gets you off all three bureaus).

I have received numerous calls from my readers claiming that they had just gotten a loan from a telemarketer or from mortgage mailers. One of them had given me full details of what occurred when she applied for a loan thru them. A call was initially received from a telemarketer and when the client replied, a representative got some information and advises that a service loan representative would call her back. One did, and after getting all necessary information they offered her a rate that she thought was good. Their processing time was very quick, within about a week and a half, the loan representative called again and said that she had been approved and that the papers are ready for signing. They scheduled a signing date, once all documents are laid down; the borrowers noticed that her closing cost was sixteen thousand dollars ($16,000). She then refused to sign; a manager called and threatened to sue the borrowers for a commission. The borrower then thought she did not have a choice and followed his instructions and signed. Now, they are closed and the commission was paid to the mortgage company from Michigan.

One lesson to be learned from this, Real estate lending law varies from state to state. Not only that, a mortgage company could be governed by Department of Real Estate or Corporations. There are major differences is all governing bodies.

I tried to inquire about mass mailing myself for my business, I found out that it is not important what you can offer the clients but how you can draw them in to you and then close them. These companies sometimes sell your information for pennies, they send out millions of mailers and when someone calls, they have professional closers to tell you anything you want to hear just to get your business. The percentage of closing if very low because most of the people hate telemarketers and mass mortgage mailers. That is why these companies always try to come up with innovative ways to send you mailers or call you.

With mortgage business slowing down, I am sure the telemarketer and the mortgage mailers will increase.

I recently got a call from a telemarketer who does not know I was in the business; I played along with their sales pitch and wanted to see how good they are in trying to get me a loan. They were offering a 1% loan with no discount points. I started asking deep questions like, what are the margin, indexes and the life cap. The representative tries to stir me into mostly the low payment that this loan offers. I ask if there was a negative amortization (increasing principal balance) on this loan. They clearly said “NO” and said that I have options and again tried to focus on the low payments again. I then ask for a good faith estimate to be sent to my fax number, I got it after 3 days. I then noticed that they are charging me an origination fee of 2%, I ask the representative about this and he said that he already gave me a discount for not charging me a discount points.

In my business, they are the same fees and that is a huge deception. I then went down the list of other closing costs: there are about $1800 in other miscellaneous fees. I then called and said I was not interested anymore, the same scenario happened, another person came into the picture and tried to talk me into this loan. He gave me some discount and said that we are ready to close. I asked this person about the negative loan, he explained it a little better but kept directing me to the minimum payment that is low. I then said I am not interested. The person I spoke with was a manager and got frustrated in trying to close me and then hung up on me.

Don’t believe your mailers or telemarketers; they are just trying to talk you into putting money into their pockets. Be very careful, so far I have not heard of a good deal with one of those specialty marketing strategies. Best to always get all details of the loan in writing and not verbal.

The method know as three dimensional ultrasound is used when a woman is in early pregnancy, it provides 3d pictures of the unborn baby. Most of the time these ultrasound samples are captured and joined together and animated to make a “4d ultrasound”.

Three dimensional scans works in the same way to the normal ultrasound methods except that the ultrasound scanning pulses can be directed from multiple directions. The ultrasound waves can be reflected back then captured to provide info to construct a 3d image in much the same way as 3d pictures. 3d ultasound scanning was started by stephen smith and olaf von ramm.

It’s important to understand that sonologists all over the world have always pictured 3d pictures of the body in their minds while doing 2d scans. However, until recently it was almost impossibel to do this kind of reconstruction on on data using ultasound scanning. With the advent of baby scans for the first time allowed us a view into the brain of a sonologist and so allowing us see the images on the ultrasound machine.

3d/4d imaging should utilize ultrasound energy following the same limits as conventional 2d ultrasound to create the 3d images. While there is no information of harm due to 3d ultrasound, its use in none medical situations needs to be undertaken with an understanding of the risks.

How To Be a Christian In the Workplace

Filed under: Religion Parlor — admin @ 6:08 pm

Employment: Blood, Sweat, and Tears!

Mel Brooks, the movie producer, said it best, “Life stinks!”

If you have spent any time in the workplace, you will have
observed many different kinds of attitudes, personalities, and
ways of approaching the job there. We all have different
personalities, habits, desires, experiences, and expectations,
all converging and conflicting, and the water cooler area
becomes a gathering place for hearing the latest gossip, a
hotbed of conflict and chaos. Somehow, in the midst of all this,
we, as Christians, are called to distinction. This rubs us
against the grain of our coworkers and employers, who have
conflicting ideas. The Christian enters into a struggle with
identity, values, attitudes, and feelings, all producing stress
and fatigue.

We are Christians, yet we are also human, and we work with
Christians as well as non-Christians. We are material beings who
need a livelihood to provide for the daily substance of life.
>From food and shelter to leisure and entertainment, work becomes
a necessary means for us to live and function in society. Work
can also be a potential for so much more. A call, a vocation, or
a job, whatever you call what you do in between your day of
worship and church, whether it be a priest or a fry cook, we all
have a purpose. We all have a job. Sometimes, it is the same,
sometimes not, as we may be in the wrong place and job.
Nevertheless, we have a call to be employed, to function in
society, and to behave in that call.

We are also social beings, not just tools or devices, slaves or
machines. We are spiritual beings who have been saved by our God
and Creator and given the call to be virtuous and righteous. All
our experiences, expectations, aptitudes, and attitudes come
together in the workplace. And, all of these distinctions
converge into our mindset and attitudes at work. So, what is the
right attitude and approach with which to do our work? How do we
get along with coworkers, bosses, and our God?

Work, Job or vocation is a word we use to start to describe what
we do in life, vocation has its root from the Latin verb “to
call;” thus, our vocation and job is actually a call, similar to
a minister. So we need to understand its role and significance
in our life and how we are to be in our vocation as well as what
it means in our walk with our Lord. Let us venture into God’s
Word and see what He has to say about what we do during the
week. What and why we have work and what we are to do in that
vocation and how we respond to others around us. The following
passages are arranged so you can spend some time in the Word,
which will help you to develop a Biblical attitude of work.
Also, several thoughts based on Scriptural insights are provided
for you to pray about to nudge yourself into being a better
person at work. You may discover what we do is not as important
as how we do it!

God’s Call For the Employee: Ephesians 6:5-8

You may feel like a slave at work. Or, perhaps you treat others
in that way thinking, I am in command. They work for me, and
they have to do what I say! But, the key to this passage is the
attitude we are to have, that of looking to Christ as our
employer so we do our work for Him. Therefore, we are to be our
best for His glory, regardless of our circumstances (Rom. 8:17;
Phil. 2:1-11). We may have a paycheck from McDonald’s and a boss
who may need some acne treatments, but our ultimate authority
and manager is Christ Himself! We show our value–that Christ
paid a price for us–so, we in turn can respond with a good work
ethic (1 Cor. 7:23). We must adjust our mindset to see work as
an opportunity to please Him, and in so doing, be a blessing to
those around us. As an employee we are called to Diligence! This
allows us to operate with our best for Christ’s highest with
excitement and passion in order to complete our work and call
from the Lord. It is practical obedience, which is the loving of
our call and the pursuing of our work so we are doing our best
for His glory. (Prov. 10:4; Rom. 12:11; Colossians 3:23)

Here are some more Scriptures about being an employee: Exodus
23:12; 35:2; Proverbs 10:26; 25:13; Ecclesiastes 2:4; 5:12;
Colossians 3:17,22-25; 2 Thessalonians 3:10; 1 Timothy 6:2;
Titus 2:9,10; 1 Peter 2: 18-20

God’s Call For the Employer

God honors diligence and fairness. As an employer you are called
to Diligence and to Fairness! These are the two characteristics
we are to have in the workplace, and are especially essential
for the manager. God hates the exploitation of people and will
judge with severity those who do exploit others. So, why bother
with the rotten characters of dishonesty and exploitation when
we can have a much more efficient and happy workplace, where the
workers are cared for and encouraged to produce instead of being
forced and made to condescend.

Here are some more Scriptures about being an employer: Leviticus
19: 13; Deuteronomy 24:4,14; Proverbs 27: 18; Malachi 3:5; Luke
10:7; 1 Corinthians 9: 6-12; Ephesians 6:8; Colossians 3:17;
4:1; 1 Timothy 5:17,18

After reading the above selected Scriptures, ask yourself these
questions:

Q: What attitudes, desires, and habits do you have that need to
be changed?

Q: How can you be encouraged by God’s truths and encourage those
who are in the workplace?

Q: What warning is God giving you?

Q: How can you lead a distinctive lifestyle in the workplace?

Q: Have you considered the eternal results of a healthy work
attitude, even in the face of strife and chaos?

God’s Call For the Workplace As a worker, or an employer, God
has a lot to say to us regarding our virtue at work.

We are called to work with respect and honor to God and others:
Genesis 2: 15; 3: 15; Proverbs 6:6-8; 10:4,5,26; 12:9; 13:4;
14:23; 18:9; 22:29; 31:11-31; Ecclesiastes 3:22; 5:12; Ephesians
4:28; 1 Timothy 5: 8!

We are called to work with integrity: Proverbs 10:2; 15:27;
Jeremiah 22: 13; Ephesians 4:28!

We are warned about laziness: Exodus 20:9-11; 23:12; 34:21;
Proverbs 16:27; 18:9; 19: 15; 22:13; 24:30-34; 1 Thessalonians
4: 11,12; 2 Thessalonians 3:7-15!

We are called to honor just remuneration: Proverbs 3:27,28;
27:18; Luke 10:7; 1 Timothy 5: 18; James 5:1-5!

Here are some thoughts for your consideration. Remember what God
calls us to do:

Our work is not to define us! Even though this may be the first
question we ask someone new to us, or is asked of us, our work
is what we do, not who we are! Work is not our identity or our
worth!

Our worth as a Christian is who we are in Christ!

Work, in society, is center stage for our social classification
and the search for identity, and can even be an addiction to
fulfill our deeper needs!

Our worth as a Christian is who we are in Christ!

Ecclesiastes 2:4; 4:7-8 asks, What benefit do we gain? This
passage gives us the impression that our toil and work are
merely temporary. We may find work necessary in order to live,
but it is not permanent or eternal.

It is not what we do that matters, but how we are!

Colossians 3:22-25. Our work may not define us, but it will
either mature or devalue us. How we respond and model character
will be the eternal value—our true selves. Work can even
be a means through which to worship our Lord!

People will see Christ through us in the workplace–either as a
God to come to, or, one from whom to be repelled. How do people
at work see Christ through you?

The Dangers and Concerns In the Workplace.

How do you handle Anger? Anger is one of the biggest enemies for
the employee as well as the employer! We are to be known by our
love; yet, it is anger that most often communicates who we are.
Thus, we must beware of its vicious and destructive ways!

Our inner feelings of inadequacy can be the fuel to the
negative reaction to anger from a boss or coworker. Thus, we
have to see ourselves as God sees us, redeemed, and as His
child. Then we can have a healthier self-image that gives us
confidence but does not allow pride.

Do not try to just ignore your anger. Walking away from, or
stopping the anger, will not solve the problem, and often, even
prolongs it. Put an end to the anger by seeking to solve the
root of the conflict. Let the anger give you the fuel to react
quickly and confidently, but do not let it control you!

Gossiping, name-calling, and/or trying to get even will only
escalate the problem and give others a very wrong impression of
our Lord! Remember, our essential self worth is not our job; it
is who we are in Him!

Do not take anger personally! View your work as a service to
Christ, not a personal, esteem-building venture!

Do not be defensive. Rather, let integrity be your guide.
Virtue will build actions, even if you are under attack by an
angry employer or fellow-employee. Show Christ-like character,
and, in the long run, you will win out. If not, shake the dust
off your feet and move on, because in God’s eyes, you are the
winner!

If the employer or fellow-employee is angry, do not let it
influence you! Do not acknowledge the anger, and refuse to
accept the tone, because that gives it more fuel and you will
lose control.

Separate the emotion of the anger from the words and content of
what a person is saying. Do not respond to their anger with your
own! Let them vent, then get to the root of the problem. Listen,
and ask, How do you want me to resolve this? Find a solution,
especially if it is your fault. And, if that be the case, take
responsibility; do not blame others; deal and act!

Restate the content of their complaint in your own words
without the emotion. Use phrases such as, I didn’t know you
disagreed with that policy. Or, I’m glad to know how you feel.
Let us find a solution about that.

Let the person know you are glad they came to you (even if they
acted inappropriately, because, we all do so at some point).
When you are positive and looking to help them, you will be able
to defuse the anger faster than anything else you could do.
Also, be in prayer, asking God to give you the strength and the
appropriate words. Remember, He is there too!

Remember Christ-like attitude, and the “Fruits of the Spirit,”
as well as sensibleness, self-control, and cooperation. (Romans
12:1-2; 2 Peter 1:4) Seek to emulate His character and you will
excel.

Q: Do a word study on excellence by looking it up in a
concordance, and see what you find. Notice how these principles
affected not only the people in the Bible, but also how they
could affect you. Then take those precepts and attitudes and ask
yourself, How can I apply them in my workplace?

So You Want To Have A Website

Filed under: Lots Of Web Resources — admin @ 3:47 pm

So you want to have a website. You have gone on to the internet and surfed but you have no idea what developing a website involves.

You are not alone

The majority of my clients know they need a website but they feel overwhelmed and intimidated by internet technology and why not? Internet technology is continually evolving and changing. What is true this month may not be true next month.

Where do I start?

Domain Name

The first thing you need to know is what a domain name is and how to register it. Domain names are used in URLs to identify particular websites. For example:

http://www.artistadesign.com

The whole address you see above is the URL of my business but the domain name is ArtistaDesign.com. The only way to register and start using a domain name is to use the services of a domain name registrar.

The registrar you choose will determine the cost for registering a domain name. You can expect to pay a yearly fee. The website I use is http://www.godaddy.com they have competitive prices and it is easy to transfer your domain name to any server - web hosting service you choose to host your site.

In picking your domain name make sure it is the name of your business or something related to your business. Once you have a domain name registered it is exclusively yours nobody else can have it unless you don’t renew it.

Now What?

Website Development

Once you have registered your domain name it is time to seriously think about building your website. You have two choices: outsource it or do it yourself.

Let me tell you my bias. For nearly all businesses and non-profits I recommend outsourcing the initial web design. Many small businesses attempt to design their own website or to hire someone merely on the basis of cost. Both of these options carry potential consequences.

Having a poorly performing ineffective website is worse than not having one at all. A true professional knows what is needed to make a website a success. There are many types of websites and each business will have a different goal in mind. A professional website developer can help you understand what your needs are and put you on the path to success.

My website is done so what is next?

Hosting

Web hosting is the service that makes a website available to others on the internet. Simply put, you are renting a place to hold your website. Once your website is built your domain name is transferred to your web hosting provider.

Your web designer will upload all the files that are developed for your website to a server (host). The server gives you a specific amount of disc space and allows your website to be accessed by internet users. Web hosting is billed by the month or by the year.

It is very important to find a reliable hosting company for your website you want to be up 24/7 with out any complications. The level of web hosting also depends on the complexity of your website. Your web designer will be able to point you in the right direction.

There are many good hosting companies one of my favorites is http://www.canaca.com they are reliable and give you a good range of choices and options best of all they are reasonably priced.

I think I am ready!

Not yet, it is important to set up professional e-mail addresses. If you have picked a good internet hosting company you should be able to have your e-mails set up - or set them up yourself. It is totally unprofessional for a business to use a free internet e-mail such as AOL or yahoo. You want your business to look legitimate and credibility is of utmost important especially when your business is internet based.

Example:My email is pamela@artistdesign.com that is much more impressive than pamela@yahoo.com . When ever I get an email from a business that has a generic address I get the impression they are not very internet savvy.

Ready Set Go!

Marketing

This is where the action takes place. If you just build your website and park it in cyberspace what do you think will happen? NOTHING…

I can’t tell you how many times I have heard, “I have a website but it hasn’t helped my business at all!” Well what would happen if you rented a store filled it with beautiful object for people to buy and just set there? NOTHING…

The same is true for the internet. You must market your website. Traditional marketing is great - add internet marketing and you have a recipe for great success. There is much more to marketing your site than putting the proper key words and sending your site to search engines.

Make sure your URL is on every piece of marketing material you have IE: business cards, ads, banners, flyers, brochures etc.

Have a free online newsletter filled with informative information.

Send out press releases announcing your business.

Have special offers on your website.

There are many things you can do to market your internet business. This is just the tip of the ice berg. One website that will give you invaluable information on marketing your business is http://www.kathleengage.com and best of all it is free!

Did you know…

On-lines sales were up 45% in 2004 and research shows that eCommerce totals in 2005 are likely to surpass USD 133 billion.

Businesses of today need an internet presence to show they are legitimate - tomorrow businesses will need internet presence to survive.

With a website the world is your oyster and the future is yours.

Playing QQ In No Limit Texas Holdem

Filed under: Gamblers Lair — admin @ 12:18 am

While there is no argument that QQ is one of the most powerful starting hands in no limit Texas holdem, it also can be challenging to play correctly. The trademark of a good player is one who can win big pots while losing small ones. What this means is that the best players minimize their losses when they do lose a hand and maximize their profit when they win. QQ is one of the starting hands that separate the winning players and the losing ones.

When you are first to act or the first player who hasn’t limped into the pot, you should raise most of the time. There are two reasons for this. The first is you don’t want anyone to see the flop for cheap, especially hands with an Ace and small kicker. The second reason is that you need to do everything you can to find the strength of your opponents hands. By raising, if one of your opponents re-raises and/or moves all in, you will have a difficult decision to make, but you may be able to get away from the hand if you think your opponent has AA or KK. This is the absolute worst position to be in. In addition, QQ plays best against one or two opponents. You should keep all of your pre flop raises roughly the same to not give away the strength of your hand, usually three or four times the big blind.

Playing QQ after the flop is usually straightforward. If you have shown strength by raising pre flop, continue to show strength until one of your opponents convinces you that they have a better hand. This includes when an Ace hits on the flop. You must bet to represent an Ace in your hand. If you check, you are giving your opponents permission to steal the pot from you, as you will have to fold to a bet. When you bet and an opponent calls or raises, you then must decide if they actually have a better hand or not. In most cases they will have a better hand because you have shown strength two times and they should respect your hand, unless you have been playing too loose.

There are a few situations in which I will check after the flop. They both happen when I am in the hand with an aggressive opponent and I feel I have the best hand. The first is when a Queen hits on the flop giving me trips. By checking, rarely will a free card hurt me if my opponent doesn’t bet and this gives them a chance to bluff off more chips to me. The other situation is when the flop doesn’t have an Ace and appears ragged. My plan when this happens is to move all in when my opponent bets after I check. There is danger in both of these situations, especially the later one. Your opponent may have hit a set, in which case you will be drawing almost dead. However, I have found that the times they can’t beat my hand far outweigh the times they can, so these situations are profitable.

The key to both of these is that you must be sure your opponent will take the bait and bet. Giving free cards can be harmful. I do not do this when two cards of the same suit are on the flop unless I did flop a set. When you flop a set, you have many outs to a full house, even against a flush. The other thing is that these plays do not work very well against the best competition. They will respect your hand and will be less likely to bluff at the pot after you check unless you do a great job of acting weak. After showing pre flop strength, this is often difficult.

Weddings on a Budget without being Cheap

Filed under: University of Social Networking, Misc, Help 4 U — admin @ 9:01 pm

The cost of a wedding can put many couples off the occasion; with an average day costing around 25,000 dollars it accounts for why the industry is worth an astonishing 25 billion dollars. Just because a wedding is expensive does not mean it will be a success; remember that just because it’s a cheap wedding does not mean that it cannot be done with style. Here are a few suggestions to help you save some money on the more expensive areas; your special day may be more affordable than you think!

Low Cost Brides Dress

Almost never considered are the costs associated with the hand made wedding dress; many brides sell their dress soon after they are married and this is a sensible way to reduce the cost. The huge cost of a new wedding dress cannot always be justified these days; many bridal shops carry a large number of previously owned dresses that can be hired or bought for considerably less than new.

The Wedding Reception

The most expensive area is the wedding reception but savings can be made here as well; when you start to arrange your cheap wedding, pay careful attention to the number of guests you want to invite. You can reduce the number of people attending by not inviting those who are only at the periphery of your life which can include distant relatives; when it comes to the meal, instead a four course silver service, why not arrange a hot or cold buffet.

If you intend holding the wedding reception in an expensive hotel then stop and look at the available options; consider holding it at a club perhaps or even book a restaurant where you can keep an open bar to a minimum by only serving beer, wine and soft drinks.

Wedding Pictures

Although many photographers stay for the whole day, it is cheaper to only hire them for just the ceremony; placing disposable cameras on the tables for the guests to use has become a very popular option. If you really want to be ‘avant guard’, why pay for a photographer at all; these days most people know someone who is a keen, capable amateur photographer, and there is nothing wrong with asking them to take photos throughout the whole day.

Cheaper Original Invitations

It is also easy to save money on your wedding by designing and printing all your own wedding stationery; with a good computer program and a home printer it is amazing how professional the results are these days. With sophisticated customization tools you’ll be able to enter your own text and preview it before you print; so as not to make any costly mistakes, all from the benefit of your probably underused PC.

Emergency Savings Accounts

Filed under: Finance Web — admin @ 3:50 pm

Unexpected expenses sneak up on the best of us. Paying these unexpected expenses looks impossible when you are in debt and barely making the payments from month to month. If you’re like most, you have to reach for the credit card and then find yourself deeper in debt and farther behind.

What do you do about this?

The answer for paying unexpected expenses is an emergency savings account.

An emergency savings account is a sum of money set aside in an account that is only used for paying any unexpected expenses.

Unexpected expenses come in many varieties and range from a roof leak to a job layoff.

There is no hard and fast rule to determine how much you need in an emergency savings account, only rules of thumb.

If you are still paying off your unsecured debts it is generally accepted that $1,000 is an appropriate amount until you have become “bad debt” free.

If you have nothing more than a mortgage payment or perhaps are completely debt free the common recommendation is that you have 3 to 6 months living expenses put aside. Now this is where it gets tricky. Everyone will have different requirements for 3 to 6 months living expenses. The general rule of thumb is to have at least $10,000 available.

This is just a rule of thumb and you will have to do some thinking for yourself here. If your mortgage payment is $2,000 each month, then $10,000 surely will not cut it. On the other hand, if you are debt free, $10,000 may be a nice cushion. Once you are living on a monthly budget it will be easy to determine how much you will need for your emergency fund. Make sure that you do not skimp on this account.

Your emergency savings needs to be readily available; money market accounts are usually the best choice.

Unfortunately money market accounts and other short-term savings vehicles are not big moneymakers, but you can access your money quickly and do not have the threat that it will decrease in value.

The reason that I like money market funds is that they will make a return comparative to other accessible investments, most have check writing capabilities, and your investment is safe from downturns in the stock market.

There are other options such as interest bearing checking accounts, savings accounts and possibly other savings vehicles in various banks, investment institutions and credit unions. Choose the investment that is available to you and fits the criteria.

One thing to be aware of when choosing a money market or any investment option is the expenses. Expenses will vary widely among investment firms. Ideally you want to find an account that lets you invest in the money market with no up front or back end fees and minimal yearly expenses. Since a money market does not appreciate quickly it would take a long time to make up for high expenses.

An up front fee is a percentage of your money that you have to pay when you initially invest it. For example if you invest $1,000 and the fee is 5%, they will take $50.00 out of your account and you will only end up with $950 invested.

With a back end fee they take a percentage when you withdraw your money.

All investment firms will charge an annual expense on your invested money. Just pay attention and choose one that has a low expense. Be careful, since some will lure you in with a low initial expense that will be raised after a specified number of months. Look at the track record going back a few years to make sure that the expense ratio has stayed consistent.

Make sure that you have an emergency savings account so that paying unexpected expenses does not chase you back in debt; it is a vital step in living without debt.

Ask and you find out … sex toys questioned.

Filed under: Shopping — admin @ 2:51 pm

A new adult toy site asked over 110 UK girls in June what their top sexual accessory was along with other personal questions.

It was that the most top sexual accessory for UK girls was the vibrator, and they just loved it! Women were so excited by the idea of a giant vibrator that many of them would use it straight after coming home from work. The best types of vibrator were the rabbit vibrators as they help to stimulate the clit hood as well as inserting into the vagina. Bullet or Egg vibrators are minature vibrators encased in an egg or bullet-shaped capsule. Bullet vibrators may be minature but are really power little toys. Bullet vibrators can be inseted into the vagina, placed against the clitoris or placed inside your anus.

The other find the sex toy company found out was that the sex toy users just loved using their sexual accessory on a daily basis by themselves. If the shoppers were in a good relationship they would use it with their loving partners.

The 2nd most popular sexual accessory was the exciting dildo. Dongs are similar to vibrators except they do not have batteries or vibrate. Dongs come in all shapes and sizes from 3 inches to twelve inches. They can come with suction cups to have a great experience hands free and can easily attach to a bath or toilet set. Dongs have been a firm fav since the 90?s and looks like they will be around for a long time.

If you like marital aids you should try it with your favourite G Spot Vibrators

A new adult toy site found the best way to pleasure a women is to buy them both a vibrator and a dildo.
