Remember willpower is not meant to be used over the long term. Use them individually or combine them for a power packed energy boost to regenerate your motivation and get you feeling great about how wonderful you really are!

You can pull these out and use these when you need to re-group and get back in the game. They represent the tip of the iceberg and are a must for any woman who wants to consider herself a juicy woman. Juicy women are everywhere. They are rich in spirit, love people and are deeply passionate about many things in life. They come in all shapes, colors and sizes. They are absolutely perfect in their rich diversity and unique beauty. Their juice comes from a zest for living. They are magnetic in that they are so loveable, dependable and nurturing. Juicy Women are the movers and shakers in life because they are devoted to making the world a better place. Whether they are sitting on a mountain top or running a family or corporation, they are at home in their skin.

Use these juicy tidbits are a resource when life seems to get overwhelming, the tendency is to feel frustrated, and judge yourself too harshly. Use the tips to create more opportunity to be aware of yourself and your needs. By having them, you will be more aware of the choices that you make and more in control of your own happiness.

1. BE CONSCIOUS. Become aware of what choices you are making in terms of your eating. Pay close attention to what and how much you are eating in addition to the events, people and patterns surrounding those choices. You might consider writing down what you eat in a daily journal. When you recognize patterns, you are in a better position to make small changes as necessary instead of getting on the scale one day and seeing a 10 pound gain.

2. EMBRACE THE PRESENT. Wherever you are in your journey to improve your health, recognize and acknowledge that place. Appreciate your successes and become aware of the places where you need support. Love you body regardless of its shape or size. Our feelings are invisible yet they are very powerful. If you harbor resentment toward your body, your thoughts will move you to sabotage your efforts. Take it slowly and appreciate the process. Learn how to make it fun and take a small step at a time.

3. ACT NOW. Never procrastinate. Every moment counts. Make your decisions and stick by them. If you decide that you are going to go the gym, schedule it and make sure that you do it or decide upon a reasonable substitute. Get it done now or as soon as possible. Once you make a decision, follow through and take action. Action creates momentum. When you notice that you are stuck, don’t beat yourself up, ask for help! Just keep on moving.

4. EMBRACE FEEDBACK. Recognize that the scale is just one form of feedback and it’s not always accurate. You know if you’ve been sticking to your plan. Learn how to take the grains of truth from every situation and toss out the rest. Don’t be your own worst enemy and give up! Be willing to be flexible in your approach and eager to embrace new learnings. Challenge yourself to learn from every situation. If you realize that eating Chinese Food the night before a weigh in causes you to bloat and affects your weigh in the next day, don’t do it. Make a change. Try something different next time. Focus on the mountain of possibilities rather than the restrictions.

5. USE ROLE MODELS. Speed up your success by listening to those who have blazed a trail before you. Don’t re-invent the wheel. Seek to find someone who can guide you to cultivate the health habits you seek. Make certain that they have already accomplished what you desire. Figure out what you really want and then ask for help to get it. Make sure that you are both in alignment as far as what drives them to want to stay on program. If it is fear that motivates them and you are driven to move toward your ideal, then you might want to realize that something that they are doing compels them through fear. You might not want this as part of your model and you might choose to make changes in this area and find someone who is more in line with your beliefs and motivations.

6. VISUALIZE YOUR DREAM. Take a few moments each day and allocate them as quiet time reserved just for dreaming and planning the new you. You can enjoy doing this while soaking in the bathtub, relaxing in your backyard, sitting in your favorite chair, strength training at the gym, anywhere that you feel relief from daily pressures can be the perfect place to focus on your dreams and goals. Engage as many senses as possible to create a powerful memory and anchor for your continued success. Our subconscious works on the basis of the images that we create in our minds, the more compelling the vision the more our brain will attract us to the conditions that will make its manifestation possible.

7. ACKNOWLEDGE SOMEONE TODAY and tell them how much they mean to you. Say “Thank you.” Gratitude is the highest energy, when you are in a space of gratitude everything is possible. In that space, you attract more of what you desire and people will love to be around you. Realize that everyone wants to be appreciated. Join a community of people who are on the same journey as you. There will be a great deal of camaraderie and support in an environment that is warm and non judgmental. Acknowledge your appreciation of this by sharing your gratitude with your support buddies. People love to help others when they know that their efforts are appreciated.

8. SET A GOAL to learn something new every day. How many ways can you think of to add more value to your life by learning? It’s calorie and carb free and oh so yummy. Take a course, learn how to set up a blog, see a movie, go for a hike, read a book, teach a class, sample a new recipe, try a new workout. What’s your pleasure? Go for it. It’s food for the soul.

9. SPEND TIME NURTURING YOURSELF, take a bubble bath, sew, paint, dance, write in a journal, read a book, go shopping, hug a tree. Enjoy being with yourself. Look at time spent alone as an opportunity not a challenge. You are wonderful. Be open to exploring all your gifts.

10. ALWAYS ADMIT TO MISTAKES. Maintain your integrity and be truthful, with and about yourself, and your abilities. When you slide and fall into patterns of overeating, forgive yourself, let go and move on. By doing so, you will inevitably like yourself more, relieve yourself of undue guilt and get back in the swing of things.

Choosing The Right Shampoo For Your Hair Type

Filed under: Gender Issues — admin @ 2:01 am

There are hundreds of shampoo’s out there, from the Suave you can purchase at the local pharmacy to designer shampoo’s like Kerastas and Philip B. that can only be purchased from speciality salons and stores. How do you choose?

First, know your hair type. It’s fairly easy to know what type of shampoo your hair needs if it’s permed or colored. If your hair is permed then most likely you’re seeing a stylist on a regular basis and he or she has suggested a product for you. If your hair is colored you will want a shampoo that will be gentle on the color and not strip it from your hair. Is your hair dry? Oily? Thin or full and coarse?

What affect do you want the shampoo to have on your hair? Be aware of claims made by shampoo manufacturers. The only thing regulated by the Food & Drug Administration is the list of ingredients on the back of the shampoo bottle. This means that manufacturers can claim their shampoos moisturize or add volume whether or not they do.

Herbs and botanicals smell great, but their affect on the hair has never been proven. Actually most shampoos and conditioners affect your hair only temporarily by leaving product behind on your hair after you wash. They have no long term effect on the condition of your hair at all.

Don’t believe that you have to use one manufacturers entire hair product line. It’s the same for skin care products. All shampoos clean the hair. All soaps clean the face. All conditioners leave a trace of product on your hair which help keep the cuticle smooth. All moisturizes soften and moisturize the skin. It doesn’t matter if you mix and match products, despite what they say.

Laser Hair Removal - How Does This Process Work?

Filed under: Gender Issues — admin @ 11:28 pm

Laser hair removal became very popular in the past several
years. There are several benefits that make laser hair removal
so popular. The main benefit is the fact that laser hair removal
is a cosmetic method that is considered non-surgical. Through
the use of the laser hair removal patients are able to
permanently remove the undesirable (or excessive) body or facial
hair. Since this is a permanent removal, the laser hair removal
procedure allows you to achieve results faster and for a longer
period. The actual laser hair removal procedure is not invasive
and is usually not painful. This is also a procedure that is not
too expensive. Prices for laser hair removal are continuing to
drop as the technology continues to improve.

Different laser hair removal methods are developed and offered
by different organizations. The actual time it will take to go
through the laser hair removal procedure will depend on the skin
type and area from which you would like to have the hair
removed. This can be as short as few minutes or as long as few
hours. The laser hair removal procedure is based on the use of
low-energy laser. In general, this laser removes hair by
disabling the hair follicles. You will find laser hair removal a
soft and virtually painless process that will cause only
smallest discomfort.

There are few other things that you should know about laser hair
removal. For example, most of the clinics that offer laser hair
removal will ask you to follow the procedure several times
(several sessions, to be more precise). Though unlikely, you
might feel slight brief irritation or swelling. The laser hair
removal may also require you to use certain prescribed skin care
products for a certain period of time. Also different types of
hair will respond differently to the laser hair removal. For
example, it is extremely hard to remove blond hair than dark
hair). Before going though the laser hair removal procedure, you
should consult with a doctor or medical consultant.

Crisis in Child Care

Filed under: Gender Issues — admin @ 1:25 am

Article: Childcare Written By: Veola Momon Words: 527 Authors

Crisis in Child Care Today there is a crisis in the child care
industry. Parents are looking to the government to solve the
problem by not cutting away at programs that will give them help
with quality childcare, health care and training for the
caregivers in these settings. As an advocate for quality
childcare in every center, home and daycare that is in charge of
the children that will “lead” our country tomorrow as well as
“live” in it, here is a beginning for change and taking charge.
It is not left up to the government to create the best learning
environment for our children alone, we must help too. It is
almost like the other grades, parents send their children to
school and want the teachers to mother and teach them. When it
doesn’t happen then they look to put the responsibility on
someone else. Teachers will teach and the government will pass
or not pass bills but our part is to see that it all work for
the best. Parents forget that a quality care center is not in
the beauty of a place or the pictures on the wall or how many
play thingies on the playground (though it does count). If you
see each day in your child life, inspiration, a stronger body
and your child looking forward to going back to the center,
“quality care is being given”. (The opposite of that is, it is
not being given). The caregiver through experience and training
“is” the quality care with the desire to do the best to teach
their children. If you see that there is no show of changes in
your infants care, join in and share ideas as well as ideas from
the book 5 + 1 Learning Powers of the Mind to help create
quality care in your child center.

While some parents are writing to their senators and
representatives, the book 5 + 1 Learning Powers of the Mind is
for “you” the parent, the “caregiver”, the childcare centers and
home care to assist you with ideas that will show you how it
only take the imagination to create a learning environment for a
child to make it a quality one without the chandelier or
expensive training. It is possible to teach and train yourself
how to become the best caregiver you can be.

You must be willing to try new things as well as create
different things in your room. Whatever you have been doing with
your infants celebrate it with a performance, parents and
grandparents will love it and will learn from it.

The one spending the most time in the life of the infant has the
most influence over their individual life. Early experiences
affect the learning of a child. While They Are Young……… Teach
Them You can have so much fun you won’t even know you’re
teaching and the infants won’t know they are learning. Each
infant is unique and alike in many ways. They observe until they
have learned then they will try it and then do it.

The Best Postpartum Exercise

Filed under: Gender Issues — admin @ 9:38 pm

Would you like to know the best exercises are after your
delivery? When it comes to post pregnancy weight loss, no two
exercises are alike!

In the time frame immediately after pregnancy, you will probably
want to stick with light activities such as walking or
flexibility training. Stretching will help keep your body limber
and help the blood circulate through your body, causing you to
feel more refreshed as the day goes by.

A few weeks after pregnancy and delivery however, you can engage
in some more vigorous activities. Here are our top suggestions:

- Yoga/Tai Chi

- Aerobic Exercise

- Running/Jogging

- Swimming

- Walking

- Elliptical/Stair Climbing

- Hiking

- Strength training

Basically anything you do to keep your body moving will help you
burn those pesky calories and thus lose your pregnancy weight.
There are even some exercises that you can do with your baby.
Get out the stroller for example and go for a walk with your
newborn. You will appreciate the fresh air and the physical
activity.

There are also many classes that are now available for moms with
new babies. Check your local recreation center or gym for more
details. You can also play running and jumping games with your
baby as you grow together.

Enhance Your Already Perfect Penis By Shaving It

Filed under: Gender Issues — admin @ 3:38 am

Shaving on and around the penis is being done by males not just for surgery anymore. Just take a look around the locker room the next time you’re at the gym.

Today’s males say shaving the pubic hairs on and around their penis is a way to feel fresh and look neat and clean. And cleanly shaving their shaft allows a condom to slip on and off much easier.

These are very good reasons to support shaving the penis indeed.

But - If a male is being totally honest, he’ll tell you that he is shaving his pubic hair because it gives his penis the appearance of being larger and it gets a lot more, ahem, attention when it’s cleanly shaved.

So for those of you males who are interested - Here are a few things you should know before shaving on and around your penis:

1) Never start shaving your penis unless you’re sober and fully alert. The pubic area is much more sensitive than your face, which means it’s much easier to hurt yourself, so you want your wits about you.

2) And while penis shaving is pretty easy to do, it does require patience and care.

3) If you’re shaving for the first time and have long pubic hairs, trim them with scissors or better yet, a hair trimmer.

4) Take a long, hot shower or bath. This will open the follicles, (the skin depressions from which hair emerges), and soften your naturally coarse pubic hairs to make shaving easier.

5) Pat dry your shaft and surrounding area with a soft, clean towel.

6) Apply a generous amount of a rich lubricant. Allow this to sit for at least 3 minutes before you begin shaving.

7) ALWAYS use a new blade in your razor.

Note: It’s rumored that if you start shaving your general pubic area, testicles, and inner thighs, you’ll get the best optical illusion, er, affect of a larger penis.

If you do decide to start shaving your general pubic area and inner thighs while you’re at it, make sure another new blade is easily available so you can change blades if your razor starts to drag.

Start by shaving the penis in the direction the hair grows, making sure you shave all sides. If it isn’t already erect, gently pull your penis upwards. This will make it easier to shave.

Once you’ve removed all hairs, go back and shave against the way the hair grows. This will give you the clean, close and smooth shave you’re after. But don’t shave the same area more than this second time or apply too much pressure. The last thing you want is a razor burn on your penis from shaving.

After shaving your penis, make sure to completely rinse off any traces of the lubricant with warm water. Then rinse with cold water. This will close and calm the follicles and generally tone the skin.

Pat, don’t rub, your penis dry with a clean, soft towel.

Some males apply a non stinging astringent after shaving. But to avoid any reaction, just lightly dust your penis with a talc free powder or plain cornstarch.

Ultimately, you want to prevent any kind of irritation to this newly raw skin. So focus on keeping it dry and doing what you can to limit initial friction. If you don’t already, wear some loose fitting boxer shorts for a while after shaving.

Many males go as long as possible between shaves in the belief that it will reduce skin irritation. But it’s been suggested that the incoming hair stubble is what causes skin problems, so shaving more often is actually better.

Males who are very physically active are usually shaving every other day.

While it’s a fact that eventually, after regular shaving, the hairs will become weaker and softer and your penis will remain smoother - If you’re not ready, able and willing to follow the regimen outlined here, you probably shouldn’t start shaving your penis.

Because anyone will tell you, there’s only one thing worse than a hairy penis - And that’s a stubbly, scabby penis.

A dry shaver is definitely the safest penis shaver. Do some research and discover the compact shaver that’s designed specifically for safely shaving the penis.

Fashion Fall/Winter 05/06

Filed under: Gender Issues — admin @ 11:11 pm

In the latest fashions shows all the models wore large necklaces
and wrists-full of bracelets made of wood or shells and had
their hair done in loose, gentle upsweeps. The black-and-white
Beatnik style is back, aimed at the 16-25 age group, severe and
pared down, a complete about-turn…gone is casual,
throw-it-all-together, ethnic school of style, with last
season’s Bohemian look making but a brief showing. We saw
sequined dresses, halters and shrugs in purple, green and gold;
swimwear followed the metallic theme: women wore tiny silver and
gold bikinis, while men wore shorts or swimsuits in colorful
prints. Last season’s Bohemian look made a brief showing.

Many of the formal dresses were updated versions of more
classic styles. A simple off-white knee-length strapless gown
was accented with a skirt of tulle ruffles around the waist. A
long purple evening gown was slit up the front with a cloud of
feathers beginning at the knee.
Steer clear of flat black -
the key element is the combination of black and white, such as a
crisp, white shirt with a pair of well-cut black trousers, and
look for rich fabrics such as satin, silk and velvet; black and
white-striped mohair sweater-dresses, worn over tights or very
fitted jeans, worn with black ballet slippers, patent slippers
or with knee-high black boots; black wool cropped jackets and
pea coats; Beatnik-style black caps; black eyeliner and mascara;
sunglasses and straight hair.
The hourglass silhouette is
already a key look for this winter but if you don’t have a tiny,
well-toned frame, choose less fitted silhouettes, and add
narrow, leather belts, retro-style shoes, vintage handbags and
opulent fur, a striped Pompom scarf. Pompom decoration is a
designer look and very easy to make yourself. Back in style is
the Sixties-inspired wool shift, with a Chanel touch and in
solid colors such as a white shirt and oversized black blazer,
and rather than a revival of androgyny it is simply a question
of comfort and ease; black mini-skirt with over-the-knee boots;
or a striped top or sweater [with a pair of skinny black pants.

Dresses have been the featured item in the latest fashion
shows; ‘The Wrap’ dress is making a comeback, and is not in a
boudoir-inspired style, but a dress with a waist, a neckline, a
skirt and - most importantly - sleeves. The new autumn
collections are full of dresses with sleeves of every shape and
size - three-quarter length, cuffed, long and tight, full and
belled, raglan and puffed, many in a print pattern such as
paisley print, on a long-sleeved dress. Prints in shades of
green, orange, pink and purple dominated the beginning of the
show. Shorts and skirts came in bright patterns that echoed back
to the 1950s and 1960s. Modern technology, with improvements in
jersey fabrics and stretch, makes a dress really comfortable to
wear. Many younger women want an all-in-one solution for work
and business travel, rather than a skirt and top or a suit.

Fall/Winter 05/06 has accents of color combined with regal
fabrics. Black is not minimalist black as in the 1990s; rich
deep plush velvet, black satin, black lace and black just
accented with white or red is the look for 2005. Black silk,
black gauze, Persian lamb, black taffeta, penne velvet black
denim, black cashmere, black jet, corduroy, black suede and
Shear ling add touches of sophistication and glamour to new
trends. Main colors are deep rich violet purples, wine reds,
burnt ginger tones, moss greens, mustard, and teal. The basic
solid black and white can be very sharp and smart, plus grays
and oyster shell tones.
British country style tweeds have
been out in force, but this year tweed is less textured. It
looks more like Harris Tweed, flat plaids or old familiar checks
such as black and white hound’s tooth checks. This is a look
that can continue into night with sequins used to create the
contrast; boldly vibrant colored checks, colorful tartans and
tweeds are all used in coats, dresses and skirts that are
loose-fitting with flowing folds of fabric, or with a Roman
touch with lines of gold appliqué. Ironically, these heritage
fabrics and shapes should be worn in a quirky way, jumbled up,
mixing Argyle knits with tartans, plaids and stripes. Or you
could borrow from the men, Ralph Lauren-style, and wear slouchy
tweed trousers with brogues and oversized knits; and boucle
tweed suits in the 50s style.
Intarsia in knitwear is back
again, such as Fair Isle, ikat, bold abstract and paisley
arrangements. Long cardigan jackets cardigan and asymmetric
cardigan wraps and coats often have fur collars or a narrow fur
edge; Aran knits, not usually in the traditional cream but in
richer deep shades of creams, teal and rust feature in many
collections.
Luxurious rich fabrics and antique brocade
fabrics, often interpreted with Ombre dyed materials like
velvets that move through related colors such as burnt orange
merging with reds through to claret in Ombre dyed velvet. Such
velvet is then over printed in toning colors or textured with
embroidery. Velvet can also have texture and appliqué

and is generally gorgeous this winter with an antique vintage
feel. Metallic luster and rich satins and the plushest of
velvets bring a new opulence to winter. In addition to rich
plush velvet there will be penne velvet, corduroy, suede, Shear
ling, leather reptilian skins, boiled wool, suiting. Designer
shoes frequently have lace and beading and if they are not
velvet, they may just as easily be made of suede another luxury
material.
The best styles to look for are wide-leg cuffed
trousers, short, swingy jackets and slim skirts, totes and
bucket bags, flat lace-up brogues, flora and fauna prints. The
‘in’ colors are black and white, beige, orange, gorgeous greens
and often have crochet motifs added - also a lot of purple tones
in tartan skirts, fur coats.
Just remember that black in
2005 is no longer the only look to wear. The fabrics in rich
deep berry and gem jewel colours may do far more for your
coloring than black ever might. Berry colors and purples will be
a wonderful choice instead of black or as an accent color.
Cubist paint techniques as prints will lead us into Spring 2006
and stencil print effects will be popular.
Leave behind
gypsy skirts, kaftans, tribal jewellery, military jackets,
waistcoats, drainpipes, crocheted shrugs and warrior belts
[finally!].

Fertility Options: An Introduction

Filed under: Gender Issues — admin @ 9:08 am

For couples facing a diagnosis of infertility, the array of options can be staggering. Not only are you trying to deal with a maelstrom of emotions, you’re faced with technologies, costs, and possible drug regimens that could confuse the best of us. The purpose of this article is to introduce you to some of the options available to have a child. Although childlessness is an option, that will be dealt with in a separate article.

One of the first but often ignored decisions to consider is whether or not you want to actually carry and give birth to a child, or do you simply want a child?

For those who may not be as concerned with the personal experience of pregnancy, adoption and third party surrogacy both present themselves. A wide selection of adoption programs now exists, depending on whether you would like to adopt a baby, an older child, or a child from overseas. Costs will also vary widely according to the program, as will the selection criteria.

Surrogacy may involve someone carrying a child that is genetically yours (in instances where a woman has problems carrying a fetus to term), or a child that is the result of a donor. As with adoption, costs and legal restrictions vary according to state and situation so be sure to do your research.

For many women though, the desire to experience pregnancy itself means that they wish to consider one or more of the multiple technologies now available. Perhaps the first method tried by many couples is the use of fertility drugs such as Clomid. These drugs are designed to hyperstimulate the ovaries, with the intended result being that more eggs are released, thus increasing chances of fertilization. Fertility drugs may be orally administered or injected. Side-effects vary to nonexistent to severe bloating and nausea.

The use of donor sperm or eggs is always an option, depending upon a couple’s desire to experience pregnancy versus the desire to carry a child that is one’s own genetically. Egg donation is now widely practiced. The donor eggs are matched with the sperm in a lab, implanted and closely monitored to see if successful, and thus a pregnancy will result.

Obviously, laboratories play an increasingly significant role in the pursuit of a modern pregnancy, as is evidenced by the use of IVF (In-Vitro Fertilization), ZIFT (Zygote Intra-Fallopian Transfer), and GIFT (Gamete Intra-Fallopian Transfer). Which of these processes will be used depends upon the functionality of the woman’s own reproductive system and the advice of a medical specialist.

None of these options can be discussed at great length within this short article. However, this should give you a cursory idea of just some of the options available to you. As always, your best bet is to discuss your options with a medical professional, your partner, and any other support networks before you make your choice. Research, research, research, and the best of luck!

Male Hormone Replacement Therapy: Andropause

Filed under: Gender Issues — admin @ 11:38 pm

Testosterone is a major player in the complex mielu of hormones (cellular messengers) that direct our bodies to function. In men who are over the age of 40, there is a significant drop in this level of this hormone. Until recently it was considered taboo to replace this important hormone. But today forward thinking anti-aging specialists realize what scientific studies over the past decade have taught us.

As with women who have gone through the change of life, replacement of their sexual hormones (estrogen, progesterone and testosterone) enact major health benefits such as osteoporosis prevention, heart disease prevention and increases in cognitive function. Likewise for older male subjects the benefits of the addition of testosterone under careful physician management is a crucial aspect of maintaining good health. I wish in this article to dispel some misconceptions about Testosterone Replacement Therapy and provide a list to readers of the benefits of this simple and safe treatment.

First of all there is overwhelming evidence in the scientific literature that testosterone does not cause prostate cancer. In actuality it is the unbalanced estrogen excess in man that is implicated in prostate cancer.

The caveat here is that once there is prostate cancer, testosterone which is an anabolic (building) hormone can promote cancer growth, but contrary to the popular belief, even within the medical field, it does not cause cancer. With advancing age Testosterone levels drop while estrogen levels rise and compete for binding sites on the prostate gland as well as other cells in the body causing a hormonal havoc.

Such problems as an increase in adipose tissue with midsection obesity, a decrease in muscle mass, generalized hormonal imbalances (growth hormone, estrogen, thyroid), depression, increased cholesterol and lipid dysfunction, glucose and insulin imbalance, decreased coronary artery elasticity, elevated blood pressure and loss of a feeling of well being result from low testosterone levels. Supplementing Testosterone in the appropriate candidates reverses these unwanted outcomes, but it is not as simple as taking a pill. There are enzymes in our body that can change exogenous testosterone into other undesirable hormones such as Estrodiol and DHT. Therefore, a physician that understands the balancing act and has the ability to monitor these other hormones is best to treat such a disorder.

Along with the correct replacement modality (cream, gel or patch) there are other considerations which halt the trend of testosterone conversion and these are usually supplemented along with testosterone. Such supplements are Saw palmetto, Zinc and Nettle extract to name a few. In a recent study of the Androderm patch after a 12-month period a depression score dropped by nearly one half with testosterone replacement alone. Again men with complaints of fatigue receiving testosterone in one study had symptoms of fatigue drop for 79% to 10%. A Medline medical literature search reveals many more positive outcomes of testosterone replacement. For those interested in finding out more about their bodies, there is a non-invasive home testing kit available at the Saleeby Longevity Institute which allows men to evaluate the levels of testosterone in circulation.

Secrets for Powerful Women — How to find and KEEP a man

Filed under: Gender Issues — admin @ 9:53 pm

Ultra-successful women can be a powerhouse in a relationship
just as they are in the boardroom. They may refuse to let a guy
open the car door (or any door for that matter), or pay for
dinner. They are successful in many areas of their lives, and
capable of making great things happen in the world — but when
you are out on a date, why the heck does they have to act, you
know, so much like you!

What happens to the dating dynamic when a man meets and begins
dating a woman who displays more male (Martian) than female
(Venusian) qualities?

Some women believe they can attract a man by acting toward him
the way that they would like him to act toward her. These women
mistakenly approach their relationships the way that they want
to be approached by men. They are repelled by the thought of a
needy man, so they are very careful not to need a man
themselves. They will loudly acknowledge that they are
self-sufficient and do not need anyone.

These women are surprised to hear that their self-reliant
attitude does not make them attractive. While they may initially
attract men with their confidence and responsible nature, the
end result will be that she does not let him pursue her and he
doesn’t get what he needs in the relationship. She has no
appreciation for what he has to offer and he will not waste much
time waiting for her to shift her attitude.

Modern women have become so responsible for themselves that it
is no longer obvious why they need a man. Sometimes, the more
successful and responsible a woman is, the less inviting to a
man she becomes. Because savvy women have realized that being
needy is definitely a turn-off, sometimes they go overboard and
act overly aggressive in response to a man’s attentions. They
may start to play the same games men play: they pull back, they
don’t call, and they become indecisive and indifferent toward
the relationship.

Women today are looking for a new kind of relationship,
certainly not the kind that their parents may have had. They
need to learn new skills to achieve the kind of equality and
open communication that they want in a relationship. Many
successful women have learned to be assertive in the work world,
and carry that dominant behavior into the dating world, with
less than positive results. They simply haven’t yet learned the
art of being assertive and feminine.

Men are attracted to women who can be pleased. When a man is
attracted to a woman, he gets excited because he anticipates
that he can make her happy and that, in turn, makes him feel
really good; it brings out the best of him. A man is excited by
the thought of winning a woman over — he wants to make her
happy. Men feel successful and fulfilled in a relationship when
she responds favorably to his pursuit and the things that he
does for her. It is very important to him that a woman let a man
know that she appreciates all of the little things that he does
for her.

Powerful women must develop the following three attributes to
ensure success in the dating arena:

* Self-assurance: A self-assured woman exudes an air of grace
and trust. She respects herself and is respected by the man in
her life. She assumes that a man will support her when she needs
it. She gets what she needs and does not have to do it all by
herself.

* Receptivity: A receptive woman is able to be flexible and
flow around obstacles in dating situations. She does not expect
to get more from the relationship than her partner is able to
give, and she does not become resentful when she feels that a
particular situation is not bringing her what she wants. She is
open to finding the good in any circumstance. Receptivity also
allows a woman to get what she wants in a relationship without
feeling like she has to give more than she is ready to give. She
may not always agree with her man, but she will still express an
attitude of love and trust.

* Responsiveness: A responsive woman lets a man know that he is
making her happy. She sends clear, authentic, and positive
messages that he is pleasing her. In fact, if a woman is not
pleased, it is best for her to give no response so that he will
not be discouraged from continuing to pursue her. Men thrive in
a relationship when they feel needed and appreciated.

Powerful women can build a fulfilling relationship with a man,
as long as they are careful not to overpower his attempts to
pursue and please. Men do want a woman who is self-assured; they
simply want her to appreciate all of the little things that he
is willing to do make her happy.
